Women’s League fixtures announced
The North West has announced details of this season’s Women’s League fixtures which for the first time will feature a 5-team Division 1 and a 6-team Division 2 competition.
Division 1 will get under way on Monday 23 May with last season’s top two beginning with home games- Bready entertaining Coleraine and Fox Lodge hosting Strabane, whilst Eglinton will have to wait until the following Monday night to make their seasonal bow when they travel to the Park.
Division 2 matches will take place on Wednesday evenings starting on 25 May.
First up here, the two new 2nd XI teams, Coleraine and Bready will get an early introduction as they meet at Sandel Lodge.
In the other games, Ballyspallen will play Bonds Glen while Newbuildings host Killyclooney.
It looks like a really good initiative to try to attract more players into the game and to give them a chance to find their feet in a more competitive set-up.
Once again we’ll be covering the women’s game on the site this season with a weekly round-up of scores and reports.
All the fixtures for both of these leagues can be found on the NWCU Match Zone
