Women’s Division 2 League and Cup programme announced
Details of the Women’s Division 2 league fixtures and cup draw have been released this morning with a total of seven teams set to compete for this year’s honours.
Strabane are the latest club to enter a Second XI this summer and the Red Caps IIs will entertain Killyclooney ay the Park on opening night- 17 May.
St Johnston are the other new entrants and the Donegal outfit begin their life in the women’s league with a drive to the north coast to take on Coleraine IIs.
Bready’s second string will host Ballyspallen in the final fixture on night one, meaning that Newbuildings will have to wait until the following Monday to make their seasonal bow, at home to the Magheramason girls.
In the cup, the Bannsiders have been guaranteed a place in the semi-finals after landing a bye in the opening draw.
Killyclooney will host Bready IIs, Strabane IIs will meet Ballyspallen and St Johnston have home advantage against Newbuildings in the race for the other three places.
