West Indies lead the pack at Under-13 World Cup
The West Indies are the sole unbeaten side left in the NWCU under-13 World Cup heading into tomorrow’s final day of Group action after some twists and turns in Wednesday’s matches.
It was definitely a day for batting first with plenty of sunshine across the North West- nine of today’s ten matches won by the teams who set a score.
The Magheramason table-toppers beat Scotland in their first game this morning and then saw off Sri Lanka, the current holders in the afternoon.
The Kildoag Sri Lankans, who started the day joint top of the table, lost out in their morning match as well; beaten by just two runs in a thriller against Australia (Donemana).
The Holm side then accounted for Netherlands in the afternoon as they jumped to second in the table with England, Sri Lanka and New Zealand all now on four wins apiece.
Conditions are set fair for the rest of the week so there should be a thrilling couple of days ahead for all teams.
