Warriors youth squads return to training with over 150 boys and girls involved

The North West Warriors youth squads will return to training from tomorrow with their biggest programme to date.

Over 150 boys and girls from NWCU clubs have been selected and they will be training across 6 different squad age groups as they prepare for the upcoming season. Selection was based on coaches recommendations and club nominations, with 16 clubs all having player representation in squads.

New Warriors Pathway Manager, Gary Wilson, expressed his delight at the programme:

“We have been working on our plans over the last few weeks and trying to pull together a programme for our players amongst all the various restrictions. To have over 150 boys and girls return to training is a real boost for everyone and the support from players, parents and clubs has been fantastic.

It’s really encouraging to see such an appetite to be back playing cricket and into the Warriors squads across all the different age groups. Myself and all the coaches are looking forward to getting started.”
