WARRIORS SET SIGHTS ON MUNSTER CLASH
The North West Warriors are back in Interprovincial action again on Thursday morning as Munster Reds arrive at Eglinton for their first game of the new season. The home selectors have opted to stick with the 13 that travelled to Pembroke on Saturday for the 50-over contest against a side making their debut in the “List A” competition.
Skipper Curtis Campher is joined by the likes of Gareth Delany, Tyrone Kane, Cormac McLoughlin-Gavin and new recruit PJ Moor and the Reds certainly look a compact unit.
The hosts have plenty of power in their order of course and they certainly bat deeper these days. Graham Hume led the middle really well in Dublin after skipper, Andy McBrine had slotted in at number three. William Porterfield, Stephen Doheny, McBrine and Stuart Thompson might well be a top four worth trying again.
The Warriors squad has been training at both Donemana and Eglinton this week in the run up to the game as preparations for a busy month continue.
Hopefully the weather holds kind for a full day’s play- action gets under way at 10.45 am and the game is being streamed ‘live’ on Cricket Ireland’s YouTube channel.
