Warriors prepare for Lightning test

The North West Warriors have unsurprisingly named an unchanged squad for the visit of Leinster Lightning to Eglinton tomorrow ahead of their key IP Cup clash (10.45am start).

Andy McBrine’s men bounced back from the disappointment of their previous rain-affected DLS reverse to the Knights at Bready to post a comprehensive win in Munster last week, and the skipper will be keen to build on that now.

‘Scra’ was in supreme form himself at the Mardyke as his century, and an excellent supporting effort from Graham Kennedy prompted that win in Cork, but he will be well aware that more is required on Monday.

Lightning won the reverse fixture on the opening day of the new season but since then have lost to the Reds and had their most recent fixture in Belfast washed out. Both team will be hoping that the weather holds for what has the makings of a good contest.

With Craig Young still ruled out through injury, selectors had no hesitation in naming the same squad for Monday as follows-

A McBrine (capt)

W Porterfield

S Doheny

S Getkate

G Hume

G Kennedy

W McClintock

N McGuire

S Macbeth

R Macbeth

T McKeegan

C Olphert

J Wilson

Details of streaming and live scores will be posted on our social media platforms.
