Warriors name squad for final T20 Interpro Festival
The North West Warriors have named a strong squad for the final T20 Interpro series which will take place at Pembroke Cricket Club starting on Wednesday (27th).
It is still very much all to play for in terms of the trophy as Boyd Rankin’s charges trail the current leaders, Munster Reds, by just four points with three games left for each team.
Andy McBrine, Stephen Doheny, Graham Hume and Craig Young were all part of the Ireland squad that really put it up to New Zealand this month and although Conor Olphert misses out through injury, that quartet will all have key roles to play in Dublin.
Olphert’s unavailability is offset by Trent McKeegan who makes the squad alongside his Newbuildings club captain, Jared Wilson.
Shane Getkate, Nathan McGuire, Graham Kennedy and William McClintock are included as expected while the in-form Macbeth boys- Ryan and Scott- will also travel south.
Ardmore’s Dhram Singh has let no-one down when brought into the Warriors set-up and the all-rounder deservedly makes the panel that will attempt to secure a second T20 triumph.
The Warriors start against the Knights on Wednesday afternoon (4pm), and are also on the afternoon roster on Thursday against Leinster Lightning.
They complete their programme with what may well be a crunch game against Munster Reds on Friday at 11am.
