Warriors announce squad for IPT20 Festival

Boyd Rankin has named a 13-strong panel for the final IPT20 Festival of the season which runs from Tuesday to Thursday next week at Sydney Parade.

The Warriors start the three-game shootout in second place after all six scheduled matches in the ‘home’ leg were abandoned without results.

Selectors had the luxury of an almost full pool of players to choose from- Conor Olphert continuing his recovery from injury the only player not available for selection this time.

Andy McBrine captains the side which also includes Graham Hume and Craig Young who have both missed recent Warriors games due to International duty.

William McClintock also returns having missed the previous festival due to injury.

The Warriors start on Tuesday afternoon with a top of the table clash against the Northern Knights before taking on hosts Leinster Lightning on Wednesday (also 3.30pm).

Their programme finishes on Thursday morning with a game against Munster Reds when the outcome of the championship could still be on the line.
