Under-13 Boys bounce back with a win
The North West under-13 boys produced an emphatic win on Day 2 of their Future Series as they recorded a 147-run over Munster at Foyle College.
A narrow 2-wicket defeat to the NCU on Wednesday was followed by a superb batting performance against the Reds, with Ben Campbell top scoring with 71 (8 fours).
Bready teammate Swarnim Jha added a very attacking 60 (8 fours, 3 sixes) with Bobby Brolly making 57 (5 fours) in the North West’s daunting total of 247-7 from their 30 overs.
Mark Donnelly (2-38) fared best with the ball for Munster while Cillian Ross made 22 and Ayan Ullah 14 as they posted 100 in reply.
Alfie Moan (2-4) and Adam Allen (2-10) both bowled very well for the hosts, who play an unbeaten Leinster side in Friday’s final round of matches.
