U17 Warriors Training Squad Announced
The NWCU have named their U17 Warriors training squad for 2019/20.
After a number of open sessions in October, the coaches have settled on a 20-strong squad with 12 clubs represented. The squad will participate in weekly skills sessions, weekly S&C training, skill specific workshops and training camps in an 8-month period to May 2020.
Warriors U17 Head Coach, Kevin Martin, was delighted with the talent coming into the squad:
We have a good mix this year with a talented group coming up from the Under 15’s to compliment our returning players from last year. We are also excited about a couple of new faces in the group as well after they impressed in our open sessions in October.
We have started training already with fitness testing for the group this week under the guidance of our S&C coach Kevin Gallagher. Skills will start in January and it’s great having Mark Olphert and Craig Young back again as part of the coaching team.
