Today’s round-up (sorry for the delay- was a job getting cards this weekend)
In the Premiership- leaders Brigade stay top after coming off the ropes to beat Strabane. Half centuries from Peter Gillespie and Tommy Barr helped the Red Caps to a total of 216 with Ross Allen bowling really well to claim 4 wickets. Brigade looked gone at 119-7 in reply before a century stand between Iftikhar Hussain and Rachit Gaur got them home and kept their unbeaten run intact.
Bready beat Donemana by a massive 213 runs- Irosh with a century and both Ross Dougherty and David Rankin with half centuries as the visitors racked up 330. Three wickets apiece for Davy Scanlon, Irosh and Cameron Knight saw the Holm side come up a long way short.
Glendermott beat Ballyspallen by 15 runs (DLS) after an unbeaten 100 from David Cooke and runs from Keshan, Steve Moore and Alan Johnson helped the Rectory side to 297-5. The heavy rain came just as the game was getting interesting- Brendon Louw was 86 not out but the visitors were 189-5 and just that bit short on DL.
Jamie Millar top scored with 64 as Eglinton made 228-7 at Coleraine with Varun Chopra’s 52 not enough to pull it back for the Bannsiders. Stevie Dunn with 4-14 did the damage against his former club.
in the Championship, Burndennett only went an won again- Mark Roulston making 53 and Salman Ahmed claiming another haul of wickets (5-24) as they beat the Foxies by 50 runs despite a half century for Brian Allen and 4 wickets for Adam Walker.
Ardmore beat Killyclooney by 9 wickets to go second while a Darnell McCallum century saw Newbuildings win at Bonds Glen.
