Ten Complete Umpire Course

Ten New Umpire Complete Level 1

Ten new umpires have qualified to officiate in the North West cricket Union, including the first female official. The course held over the past 4 weeks, lead by tutors David Caldwell and Dermot Ward, saw the new umpires improve their knowledge and skills around the rules and regulations of cricket.

Each of the umpires were given a pack with various information and equipment to help them, they will now progress through a mentoring program with senior umpires in the North West to develop them further. The Umpire also become members of NIACUS (North of Ireland Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers)

The ten new umpire in the North West are;

Melanie Killen

Andy Stevenson (Glendermott)

David Tosh

Graham Moore

Cameron Knight (Bready)

Fernandes Suganthara.

David & Melanie Killen are son and daughter of the current NW official Clarke Killen.
