Successful Girls Cricket Festival at Coleraine

Despite the overcast conditions, the first ever North West under-13 Girls Cricket Festival was held in Coleraine today on the back of last week’s under-13 World Cup tournament.
Originally scheduled for the cricket pitch, the competition was switched to the synthetic hockey surface and featured four teams- Bready, Coleraine, Holywood and a NW Warriors select.
In a closely-fought event it was Bready who emerged winners after a three way tie involving them, Coleraine and Holywood.
More than 45 girls took part in what was a fantastic experience for the teams, played in great spirit.
Our sincere thanks to Coleraine CC for organising and hosting the event and please remember, if you haven’t yet entered next week’s girl’s Hit’s Wicket Camp at Melvin Sports Complex in Strabane, you can do so via the link below.
