Sri Lanka and West Indies set the pace on Day 2 of U-13 World Cup
More glorious sunshine greeted players and spectators for Day 2 of the NWCU Under-13 World Cup as reigning champions Sri Lanka (Bonds Glen) and West Indies (Bready) emerged as the only unbeaten sides after the first four matches.
The Magheramason Windies will go into Day 3 in top spot courtesy of a superior Net Run Rate with the Sri Lankan Bee Gees ready to pounce in second.
England (Newbuildings) are in third after beating New Zealand in the morning but then coming off second best in a good game against Australia (Donemana) in the afternoon. The highlight of that game was two superb diving caught and bowled dismissals for Roy McGerrigle (one of which is the feature photo).
India (Ardmore) and Scotland (Ballyspallen) both recorded their first wins of the week but once again this is proving to be a competition that is bringing out the very best in our young players.
Roll on Day Three!!
