Saturday round-up

It’s a short and sweet round-up today on the last Saturday of the regular season (with the promotion/relegation play-off to come) as only two games went ahead in the Long’s SuperValu league.

In the Premier Division, Coleraine collected their third 25-point win in a row to keep their place in the top flight. They bowled Eglinton out for 51 with Stephen Hutchinson picking up four wickets, Scott Campbell three and Graham Hume a couple. Jamie Millar claimed three for the villagers as the Bannsiders lost 5 in the chase, but still won comfortably.

In the Championship, Ardmore are back on top after they hammered Fox Lodge by 9 wickets. Gary Neely took 5-21 and Decker Curry 3-15 as the Foxies were bowled out for 63. Curry made 31 and Peet Pienaar 25 not out in an easy win.

Finally, congratulations to Glendermott 2’s who were presented with the Q2 league trophy by Union President, Connie McAllister.
