
Return to Play Protocols Issued
Cricket Ireland has today released its COVID-19 Safe Return to Play Protocols (SRTTP) ahead of a planned return to fixtures in the NWCU on 17th July.
The Return to Play protocols is another positive step in the Return to Cricket pathway and will aid clubs with guidelines and protocols for matches in the NWCU. To help clubs prepare for matches and understand the Return to Play protocols, the NWCU will hold a Club Briefing on Thursday 9th July, 7:30pm via Zoom. Clubs can sign up using the form here
Clubs are reminded that in NI, friendlies are not permitted under the protocols and that subject to NI Executive moving into Step 4, matches will resume on 17th July.
Cricket Ireland have also confirmed that the Irish Senior Cup and Irish National Cup will not be held in 2020. The All-Ireland T20 Competition though will be held in September, with the winners of the NW Senior Cup progressing to the National final.
