NWCU mourns death of Ash Buchanan

The funeral of former Donemana, Bonds Glen and Killyclooney player Ash Buchanan will take place on Thursday afternoon following the 34-year old’s sudden death at the weekend.

Ash will be fondly remembered as a warm and affable character and a more than useful cricketer who won a senior cup medal during his time at the Holm.

He had a very keen interest in sport generally and as well as cricket, his love of football and snooker kept him entertained the whole year round.

Ash is survived by his father Lynn, brothers Mark, Richard, Adam and David and his sister Cherilyn, while his mother Idena passed away several years ago.

His remains are expected back at the family home, 14 Stoneyfalls Park Donemana this evening (Tuesday) with the funeral to Mountcastle Cemetery at 2pm on Thursday following a service at home.
