NWCU Autumn Cricket Coaches Workshop

The NWCU is delighted to announce a series of Autumn Cricket Coaches Workshops to be held next week at Bready Cricket Club. The sessions run from 7pm-8.30pm on three nights and while entry is free, availability is limited and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

The first session will be a Pace Bowling Workshop presented by Boyd Rankin and that will take place on Tuesday 14th September.

Gary Wilson will oversee a Wicket-keeping workshop on Wednesday evening and the North West Warriors Head Coach will be back on Thursday to take charge of a Batting session as well.

Further plans are in place for a Spin Bowling night with Andy McBrine and Fielding with William Porterfield and details of both of those will be announced in due course.

The Union’s Club & Partnership Officer, Brian Allen, said they were delighted to have secured the services of such a quality group to lead the Autumn Coaching Programme, which is being held in partnership with Derry City & Strabane District Council.

“It’s great for our Coaches to be able to have the opportunity to work with the likes of Boyd, William, Gary and Andy- guys who have played at the very top level of the sport. They all have the interests of the North West at heart and we are confident that these sessions will prove to be very popular.”

“It is important that anyone wishing to attend books their place as soon as possible.”
