NW Women start Interpro summer at The Lawn

The Women Warriors begin a six-match challenge series against the NCU Knights at Waringstown on Sunday with the first of tomorrow’s two T20 matches getting under way at 11am.

Head Coach David Scanlon’s squad has been affected by the unavailability of one or two familiar faces- most notably Zara Craig who has been named in the Derbyshire Women’s squad to face Yorkshire and North East Warriors at York CC this weekend.

Alana Dalzell captains the North West team which includes her Bready team mates Cody Wallace, Charley Scott and Millie Spence.

Fox Lodge trio Mollie Devine, Sarah Black and Tanisha Hussain have also been named in a squad that has a genuine mix of youth and experience.

Eglinton and Bonds Glen are doubly represented- Alice McLaughlin and Arianna McKenna from the village club and Amy Young and Jessica Cooke from the Bee Gees, with Strabane’s Lucy McGranaghan likely to take the gloves.

Best of luck to the Warriors tomorrow, and best of luck too obviously to Zara!
