NWCU Review to start this week
We would like to confirm that the North West review panel will start work this week as the Union looks to consider changes to its league structures and regulations for the seasons ahead.
As most of you will know, we have been running a comments page and a player survey and we are delighted with the volume of responses. These will now form the basis of discussions over the coming weeks. The review team are expected to provide their recommendations by mid- December and this will be presented to clubs shortly afterwards, before being put to the Board of Control for final consideration.
It is expected that a couple of sub-committees will be required to look at some of the broader issues; eg Women’s cricket and Youth Development, so we will look to involve everyone who has put their name forward during this process.
The initial panel will be made up of Lee Ritchie, Kevin Martin, Michael Gillespie, Bertie Faulkner, Vinny O’Hara, Peter McCartney, David Bradley and Lawrence Moore, with potentially two more members to be added in the coming days.
We intend to keep everyone informed at each stage of the process.
