North West Senior Cup Quarter Final Draw
BANK OF IRELAND SENIOR CUP QUARTER-FINAL DRAW
There are four really intriguing ties in store in the last eight round of the North West senior cup after the draw was made by Tommy Harpur and John Gillespie in Strabane on Sunday.
Holders Donemana have been drawn away to Coleraine- incredibly the sixth year in a row that these two have met along the way in this competition. Before Saturday’s win at Bready it would have been fair comment to say that the visitors would be very hot favourites this time given the players the Bannsiders lost over the winter. They still will be of course, but with nothing to lose, Scott Campbell’s men could make it very interesting.
Ballyspallen and Newbuildings have been paired together meaning at least one Championship side in the semi-finals. Newbuildings ended the Roe Valley men’s perfect start to their season with a league win earlier this month so they have what it takes.
The home side obviously made it through to last year’s decider however and they will be desperate for another crack at one of the big guns.
Ardmore and Brigade will be another really good tie now that Grant Mokoena has found a bit of form for the Bleachgreen boys while Eglinton will be favourites despite the Foxies’ mauling of Burndennett on Saturday.
Finally Congratulation to Stuart Thompson, Eglinton, for winning the Bank Of Ireland Player of The Round with his unbeaten 160.
Quarter Final Draw
Eglinton v Fox Lodge
Coleraine v Donemana
Ardmore v Brigade
