North West Hosts Youth Connects Programme

Youth Connects is a national programme developed to upskill and develop young leaders in the community through interactive workshops, training, and practical placements.


This North West based programme, in partnership with Cricket Ireland and Derry & Strabane Council, is a Youth focused series of modules aimed at highlighting all the aspects of club life, providing real life examples of the work of club volunteers in clubs. This program will focus on delivering skills to  enable youth to become fully active members in any Cricket Club. This is an ideal program for Duke of Edinburgh Award, Presidents Award & UCAS applications.

  • Leadership
  • Green Clubs
  • Umpiring & Scoring
  • Activator training
  • Women’s International Tri-Series entry


Session 1 will include leadership, committee influencing and an overview of the remaining modules. Session 1 & 2 are designed for participants to attend individual modules or stay for the entire session and experience each module.

Registration open for youth aged 12 – 18. FREE to any youth registered to a North West Cricket Union club.
