Mixed Day for Under-15 Boys

It was a case of one win and one defeat from two T20’s today for the U-15 Boys as they recovered from an 8-wicket defeat to Leinster in the early game to claim a 7-wicket victory over Muster in the afternoon.

Charlie Downey top scored with 14 as a strong Leinster attack bowled the NW lads out for just 52- Reuben Wilson with superb figures of 4-4; Sebastian Dijkstra 3-7 and Arshad Safi (2-12).

The hosts made short work of the target- Ethan Marshall with a quick 29 not out putting the game to bed with plenty to spare.

Things did get better for the North West boys after the break as they successfully saw off the Munster lads in Game 2.

Kanishk Kumar hit an unbeaten 45 for the Reds as they set a target of 111-6 from their 20 overs with Cameron Nawn (2-8) the pick of the North West attack.

Cody Mehaffey made 33, Charlie Downey 30 not out and Charlie Simpson 21 as the young Warriors won with a bit in hand.
