Great news for North West as Zimbabwe series confirmed

The North West Cricket Union are delighted to note that Ireland’s three T20’s against Zimbabwe at Bready will go ahead, albeit there is now a slight change to the scheduled dates. Doubt had been cast after changes to travel restrictions at the end of last month, however any issues have now been resolved and we can look forward to welcoming the touring party later this month.

The three matches will take place on 1st, 2nd and 4th September although the visitors have also arranged a training camp at Eglinton from 17-19 August before heading to Dublin.

It’s great news for the local Union and credit has to go to Brian Dougherty and Peter McCartney in particular who lobbied hard to ensure that the North West wouldn’t lose out.

Details of capacity and ticketing will be announced in due course.
