Five NW sides through in Ulster Plate
The draw for the quarter-finals of the Ulster Plate will take place at lunchtime tomorrow (Monday) with five North West and three NCU sides making the cut after Sunday’s first round matches.
Holders Eglinton II advanced courtesy of a bowl-out win over CSNI 2s while Bready won at Lisburn and Brigade accounted for North Down at Beechgrove.
DJ Dougherty claimed 4-13 and Mark Moore hit 38 not out as Donemana chased down Muckamore’s 106 to win by 5 wickets, while at the Boathole, Jacob Mulder claimed 5-11 and made 32 runs as CIYMS 2s beat St Johnston by 6 wickets.
Ronan Restieux hit an unbeaten 66 and Jamie Gibson 59 as Woodvale scored 180-4 at the Rectory, adjusted to a target of 197 from 30 for the Waterside men.
Tyler Lynch replied with 58 for Glendermott but they were well short in the final reckoning and bowled out for 127- Muhammad Khan with four wickets for the Belfast side.
Waringstown IIs bowled Fox Lodge out for 61 at the Lawn- Benjamin Snell with 4-13 there; the hosts knocking off the required runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Sean Gormley made 47 and Conor King 44 to help Ardmore to a total of 192-9 at Carrick, subsequently reduced to a target of 162 by DLS.
Despite 55 from Alex Haggan and 31 from Ben Cave, George Brolly and Matthew Rolands shared six wickets to ensure the Bleachgreen side held on to win by 11 runs.
