Emerging Warriors start Future Series with a win

The Warriors got their Future Series off to a winning start at Belmont this afternoon with a thrilling 2-run success against Lightning Bolts.

The North West side posted 146-8 from their 20 overs with Gavin Roulston hitting a 42-ball 54 (4 fours, 3 sixes) while Jack Macbeth added 31 in an opening stand of 62.

Ben Mills made an even-time 19 batting at Number 3 on his Warriors debut with Olly Reilly (3-39) and Dylan Lues (2-18) best with the ball for the Leinster side.

Clontarf’s John McNally completely dominated the Bolts’ reply, hitting 4 sixes and 3 fours in his battling 60, however needing 20 from the last three overs they came up a couple short.

Liam Doherty conceded just 11 from the 18th and 20th overs with Sam Kincaid (2-16) going for just 6 in the 19th as the Emerging Warriors battled hard for the win.
