ECB Academy Head Coach to address North West club coaches
As part of the NWCU ‘Key Coach Programme’, club and regional coaches are set to attend a Masterclass from ECB’s John Stanworth.
John is Lancashire Cricket Academy Director and England Women’s Academy Head Coach. He is also a former Lancashire wicket-keeper and coach. John kick starts the North West’s Key Coach Programme by sharing his experiences of the player and coach pathway from participation to performance, how he navigated the challenges and opportunities he faced. He will speak to club coaches and NWCU Regional coaches in a Zoom session on Wednesday 27th January.
Brian Allen, Programme Director, was delighted to get such a significant speaker:
“Its really exciting to have someone like John Stanworth be the first to deliver on our coach development program. This program will improve club capability of introducing and improving the playing opportunities available. We hope to have everything in place create vibrant club environments as soon as we can safely do so. We have more exciting speakers and workshops lined up in the coming weeks.”
The ‘Key Coach Programme’ is joint initiative between the NWCU and Derry City & Strabane District Council, funded by the Peace IV Programme. For more details contact Brian Allen: brian.allen@northwestcricket.com
