Craig and Dalzell named in Super 3’s Squads
Eglinton’s Zara Craig and Bready’s Alana Dalzell have been named in the Super 3’s squads for the next round of games this weekend.
Zara has been named in the Typhoons squad for their game against the Scorchers. The Typhoons will be looking to continue their dominance over the Scorchers in this year’s competition, after clinching the first match-up between the sides in May by 21 runs. Head Coach Tim Simmonite named his squad which will be led by Irish international Una Raymond-Hoey, in the absence of the injured Laura Delany.
It marks a successful few weeks for the young Eglinton star. Zara was nominated for the Derry & Strabane Young Sports Star of the Year Award and this week lead Limavady Grammar School to victory in the U15 Schools Cup against Strabane Academy.
Meanwhile, Bready bowler Alana Dalzell, has been named in the Dragons squad for this weekend’s game against the Scorchers. The Dragons have started their title defence with gusto, claiming two early wins in convincing fashion. The side, however, will be without captain Kim Garth for the next match due to a niggle, and Mary Waldron who is on an umpiring assignment.
