Another busy weekend for North West clubs

There’s plenty of cricket for local supporters to enjoy this weekend starting tonight (Friday) with six fixtures in the Best Western White Horse Hotel T20, followed by a full set tomorrow in the Long’s SuperValu 40-over Leagues.

There’s also the ongoing Interprovincial T20 festival at Comber where the North West Warriors will be looking to build on this afternoon’s win over the Northern Knights. Andy McBrine’s team will take on Leinster Lightning tomorrow morning (11am) before finishing the first round of ties on Sunday morning against Munster Reds.

Friday night

Ardmore posted a narrow 2-wicket win at Coleraine on Thursday night at the start of the T20 programme, but there’s still plenty to enjoy with the following fixtures getting under way at 6.30 pm

Best Western White Horse T20 Cup fixtures (Friday 27 May)

Fox Lodge v Brigade; Ballyspallen v Bready; Burndennett v Killyclooney; Strabane v Eglinton; Glendermott v Newbuildings; St Johnston v Bonds Glen.

On Saturday, attention switches to the league where there are several interesting ties down for decision.

At Beechgrove, the home side will be out for revenge as St Johnston- who knocked them out of the senior cup at this venue recently- come calling again.

There’s a local flavour to the Bready v Fox Lodge game too, and this one could be interesting if the Ballymagorry men are on top form, especially with the likes of Marco Marais, Brian Allen, Jason Milligan and Jonny Robinson looking to make their mark.

Please note that the Ardmore v Brigade game is an 11am start.

The Long’s Supervalu fixture list in full for tomorrow is-

Eglinton v Burndennett; Killyclooney v Newbuildings; Glendermott v Bonds Glen; Ardmore v Strabane (11am start); Coleraine v Donemana; Brigade v St Johnston; Bready v Fox Lodge.
