Get Into Umpiring Scheme

  It is North West Cricket Unions objective that cricket matches are played fairly and under the Laws of the game. Ideally all matches would be umpired by an official who is not directly involved in the game.

Need For New Umpires

• Create a bank of umpires who can umpire competitive fixtures.
• Reduce need for Umpiring to be done by those directly involved with each particular match.

Get Into Umpiring Scheme 

1. Have a valid Access NI Certificate (Non barred List).
   • Access NI | North West Cricket Union
2. Complete the Foundation Course
   • Access the ICC course Here 
3. Join CICA as umpire (possibly coach too of applicable)
   • CICA Membership
4. Register with NWCU Umpires & Scorers & Attend a support training evening locally

You are now ready to Actively & will be paired with an experienced colleague to assist your integration and development.

Remove your clubs Levy: Umpire & Gain 50 points (Collectively or individually)

• Saturday or Sunday 50 Over Senior League or Cup = 10 Points
• <40 League or Cup = 5 Points
• T20 League or Cup Matches = 5 Points
• T20 Senior League or Cup Matches = 5 Points
