Eglinton_Cricket_North_West_Web_VersionEglinton Cricket Club has been playing in the historic plantation village of Eglinton for approx 80 years. The club was originally called Killaloo and played near Claudy.

The late Dr AH Montgomery was instrumental in moving Killaloo to the village venue then renaming it.

Over the years Eglinton has produced many top players and during the 1950s & 1960s was a dominant force in the area winning every local cup at regular intervals. Even up to the present day league &  cup success continues at all levels.

Our club currently fields 3 Saturday teams, 3 youth teams & a ladies team.

The youth section is exceptionally strong at the moment and as such many homegrown players are starting to force their way into the 1st XI.

Our club is well represented at all representative levels right up to full international level.

Our ground in Eglinton is generally accepted as one of the best in the NWCU area and as such very regularly hosts cup finals, representative games and in the not too distant past full internationals. Very recently we staged the first ever domestic first-class game ever played in Ireland.

Renowned as a friendly and welcoming club situated in an expanding village new members, both playing & social are always welcome
